Washington and Jefferson College ASTP Unit
On October 25, 1997, a memorial service was held on the campus of Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania, to honor all former students who had sacrificed their lives for their country from the Revolutionary war to the present. Included in the tribute was the 18 men of the ASTP contingent that was stationed at the school during World War II. When the ASTP was disbanded in the Spring of 1944, most the men of this unit were assigned to the 84th Infantry Division.
