ASTP Unit 3923

On Veteran's Day 1997, Washington State University paid tribute to all former members of ASTP Unit 3923 who were stationed at what was then Washington State College in Pullman, Washington, during World War II.  A commemoration service was held on that date at the Armed Services Memorial on the campus, which included representation by the U.S. Army, the presentation of the colors of all branches of service by a cadet corps, and participation by a contingent of ASTP/Washington State men who were later assigned to the 11th Armored Division.

A plague was unveiled to the men of Unit 3923 who fought with the 11th Armored Division, and the names of those men in Unit 3923 who were killed in action while fighting with the Division were added to a memorial plaque that honors all those of the University family who lost their lives in the service of their country.
